Glebe has always been home to artists and a fitting subject for artworks. This segment presents a sample of artworks by Glebe artists and photographers.

Alex Tyrrell and Dorothy Davis between them contacted around 20 artists and photographers whose subject is Glebe or who live in Glebe or Forest Lodge. Allan Hogan produced a 16 minute audio-visual presentation of the artists’ work, and Alex and Sijmen printed biographies and selected images onto postcards, giving a brief introduction to each artist. The exhibition also included an award-winning painting by a local botanical artist of Gymea lilies in Bicentennial Park.

It was exciting to bring together so much local artistic talent. Thank you to the artists and photographers who gave us images of their work to include in the presentation.
